H. Bryant Nguyen, MD, MS

Dr. Nguyen is the Professor of Medicine, Basic Sciences and Emergency Medicine in School of Medicine, Loma Linda University. He is also the Vice Chair of Research and Medicine as well as the Head of Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine whose academic and research interests focus on early recognition, prognostication, resuscitation and management of severe sepsis and septic shock.

Prof. Nguyen received his doctoral degree in University of California in 1998. During 1998 to 2003 after graduation, Prof. Nguyen worked as a resident physician in Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, receiving the residency training of Combined Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Besides, from 1986 to 1990, Prof. Nguyen also worked as a Software Engineer and was promoted to be a Principal Software Engineer from 1990 to 1993.

Since 2003, Prof. Nguyen has owned the specialty board certificates of Diplomate of American Board of Internal Medicine, Diplomate of American Board of Emergency Medicine and Diplomate of American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine. Up to now, he has received 16 professional awards and 31 research achievements both at home and abroad and has published 47 articles as well as 8 books and chapters.
