Dr. Joanna Yang received the Master of Science in Nursing degree from Loma Linda University School of Nursing, Loma Linda, CA in 1995 and in 2013 she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Alabama (Birmingham). As a neurology nurse practitioner in Loma Linda University Medical Center, Dr. Yang participates daily rounds and management of neurology patients, responds to hyperacute stroke activations, coordinates stroke patients care in the hospital and communicate patient’s care with bedside RNs, case managers, therapists and families.She has rich professional experience as neurology nurse practitioner and stroke program coordinator in Loma Linda University Medical Center for over a decade. She has given lots of presentations and lectures at different conferences. Owning to her hard work, Dr. Yang has received many awards and honors like Daisy Award APRN for extraordinary nurses in LLUMC and 2rd place Concept Analysis Poster during the 14th Annual Evidence-based Practice &Nursing Research Conference on May 9, 2013. She was also one of founding board members of ANVC (Association of Neuro Vascular Clinicians) from 2011 to 2013. She is a medical advisory committee member (MAC) for Inland County Emergency Medical Agencies (ICEMA) and she also participates in MAC committee and discuss the ICEMA protocols and plans.
